Bonnies Yorkie Babies

All of my life,  I have always loved the Yorkshire Terrier breed. So much personality and love. That they have to offer us human companions. They are not lucky to have me... rather it is the other way around! I am so blessed to have them. After doing great amounts of research. I realized how many are abandoned and neglected in my own home state.

Sadly...  There are very few rescues dedicated to this breed.

I decided then,  to open my heart and my home for these little guys and gals. They are wonderful  companions and many people are willing to adopt them. Waiting lists a mile long and so few dedicated to their welfare. Most are dropped off at the local animal Shelters. Where they are caged and not handled. This traumatizes them and it can turn a beautiful loving animal into a terrified and a nervous wreck. Thus getting their chances of adoption lessened.

Most Shelters Hold their animals for a only few days and if they are not adopted. The animal is destroyed. YES killed! It is very sad but true.

So please.... If you have an unwanted or displaced Yorkshire Terrier. Please do not take him or her  to your local shelter. I am willing to take care of and love your baby. Until a new and a permanent forever home can be found for them.

I myself, (in my home) can only accept the Yorkshire terrier breed & other small breeds whether it be Feathered or Furry, as long as they are 10 lbs in weight and under.    I have come to know their temperments and also because of their size,   I like to keep them with only smaller animals.  Most Yorkies, they  just want to be treated like Kings and Queens... And here at my home... They are!  Really.... They are all just babies.  True at heart and most of them,  I have found... They simply enjoy being loved and doted on (spoiled rotten!).     If you have a larger breed that you need to place in to foster care. Please take a look at our surrender page. It has more info on what can be accepted.  Thanks and have a great time on our site! Bonnie

The pictures above are of my own personal babies. Deany Boy is 4 years old and he is all Yorkie! He is spunky, smart as a whip, devoted and he loves to play. Pebbles, (AKA the pokey little pup). She is 3 years old,  very mellow and she wants nothing more in life, than to be held and cuddled all of the time. She is my very special little girl. At only 3 lbs, she is Hypoglecimic, so we must watch her to make sure that she eats regularly.  Then there is little Miss Tibbers. She is our little stroke victim. She has no teeth, mostly blind and crippled hind legs. She has come a long way in the time that she has been with us and we love her so dearly. She is 6 years old, but she acts like a little old lady. Slow & cautious, but she has learned to trust and to even give us sweet and wonderful kisses.   We are very happy with our babies and we just couldn't imagine life without them.  Yorkies are a very special breed, so clownish and so loving. Many times people see them and they think "Oh how cute!"  However,  there is more than meets the eye. Yorkshire terriers can require alot of vet care. They are notorious for bad teeth, luxating patella's and other medical conditions. It is is always wise to do mass amounts of research before bringing home your new companion.  You must be financially stable to afford their care. Anything less would be short changing them. These precious dolls in my eyes, are all special babies. Every Yorkie that I have ever met, has had his or her own strange little quirks.  Whether you purchase a Yorkie or Adopt a Yorkie. Please remember that inside of every tiny little body is a tiny little "person."  Old or young, they all want your love and your devotion for a lifetime.
